Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Donation details: when you give online, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details. We receive your name, email, billing address, the amount and fund you chose, and the type and last four digits of your card or bank account. We never see or store your full card or bank account number.
• Messages you send us by email or phone.
• Basic technical data: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records requests to the site (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to keep it secure and working. These logs are kept for a short period.
• Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other websites.

The Zakat calculator runs entirely in your browser. The amounts you type into it are not sent to us.

How we use it

• To process your donation and send your tax receipt.
• To manage monthly gifts you set up, including letting you update or cancel them.
• To keep the records we need for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
• To answer your questions and, if you ask us to, keep you informed about our work.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Who we share it with

• Stripe, which processes payments under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and delivers our receipt emails.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

We do not share donor information with other charities or marketers.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The payment page hosted by Stripe may use cookies that Stripe needs to process payments securely and prevent fraud.

How long we keep it

We keep donation records for as long as needed to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations, and then delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing sunnahhelpingfund@gmail.com. We may need to keep some donation records where the law requires it.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections, and payments are handled on Stripe's secure, PCI-compliant checkout. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
