Donation & Refund Policy

Tax deductibility

Sunnah Helping Fund Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 88-2395043). Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We email a receipt for every online gift; please keep it for your records.

How your gift is used

• Gifts designated to a program or campaign are used for that purpose. If a program becomes fully funded or can no longer be carried out, we use the gift where it is most needed within our charitable mission.
• Zakat is kept for Zakat-eligible recipients and distributed in accordance with Islamic guidelines.
• Zakat al-Fitr is distributed to families before the Eid prayer. Gifts received too late to deliver before Eid are used for Sadaqah where most needed.
• Covering the card fee is optional. The extra amount is part of your donation.

Monthly gifts

Monthly gifts are charged on the same day each month until you cancel. You can update your payment method or cancel at any time using the “Manage or cancel your monthly gift” link in your receipt email, or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund gifts already made.

Refunds

Donations are generally final. If you made a mistake, such as the wrong amount, a duplicate gift or an unauthorized charge, contact us within 30 days and we will refund it to the original payment method. If a refund is issued, your receipt is no longer valid for tax purposes and we will send an updated one where needed.

Payment problems

If you see a charge you don't recognize, please contact us before disputing it with your bank. We will help you resolve it quickly.
